Ambassador ( Fayez Abu Alruob), the State of Palestine’s Ambassador to the sister State of Qatar, met with Mr. Hamad Dalmook, Assistant Undersecretary for Expatriate Workers Affairs at the Ministry of Labour of Qatar, as part of monitoring the implementation of the Agreement on the Recruitment of Workers from the State of Palestine to the State of Qatar, signed between the two sides on May 27, 2025, and to complete joint efforts to place the agreement into practical effect.
During the meeting, Ambassador Abu Libdeh conveyed greetings from His Excellency Dr. Inas Al-Aṭārī, Palestinian Minister of Labour, to His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri, Minister of Labour of the sister State of Qatar, underscoring Palestine’s keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation with Qatar in the labor field, contributing to providing employment opportunities for Palestinian workers and benefiting from Palestinian competencies and expertise in the Qatari labor market.
The two sides also discussed mechanisms for coordination and technical and administrative cooperation between the competent authorities, and ways to facilitate procedures related to the recruitment of Palestinian workers, in a manner that serves the interests of the two sisterly peoples.
For his part, Mr. Hamad Dalmook affirmed the readiness of the Qatar Ministry of Labour to facilitate all related procedures in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in Qatar, emphasizing the importance of supporting the labor sector in Palestine to bolster the resilience of the Palestinian people and provide opportunities for Palestinian competencies and expertise in the Qatari labor market.
Ambassador Abu Libdeh also expressed deep appreciation for Qatar’s active role in supporting the Palestinian people politically, humanitarianly, and developmentally, reflecting the deep fraternal ties between the two sisterly countries.
